Founded by Alex Fane in February 2017, Fane Productions operates as a unique one-stop shop for top talent from across the global entertainment industry. We manage and agent clients depending on their needs; produce, general manage and promote tours and programme venues, most notably Crazy Coqs at Brasserie Zédel. We specialise in music, musical theatre and spoken word, but we don’t stop there, with poets, public figures and dancers included among our clients. 2018 highlights include the world premiere of two time Tony award-winner Kathleen Turner’s one woman show at The Other Palace and a very special UK tour with legendary explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes, whilst Sir Michael Parkinson, Kerry Ellis and Gareth Malone all head out on tour.

Alex Fane
Managing Director

The 24-year-old entrepreneur formed Fane Productions in February 2017 as an independent set-up with Fane’s full team, client roster and with financial backing from Original Talent Limited. Beginning his career aged 18 as the Assistant Maitre D’ at Brasserie Zedél, then moving over to manage the Crazy Coqs Cabaret & Jazz Club, Fane chose not go to university, instead forming Fane Management aged 19 in 2014 with his first clients including; Anne Reid, Celia Imrie and the Delfont Mackintosh group. In 2015, Fane Management was acquired by United Agents. Fane went on to set up and run their music arm for two years, United Music, before leaving to set-up Fane Productions.

Jess Hughes
Tour Operations Manager

Jess works directly alongside Alex across the business. Her primary role is managing all aspects of our tours and one off productions from PR & marketing, logistics, through to artist liaison. Jess is the proud agent for Benjamin Zephaniah's music work, she is also the office oracle and looks after the day to day running of Fane Productions. In her own time Jess is an artist in her own right as one half of DJ Duo, Deaf By Disco. Labelled as 'Festival Favourites' By Bestival, they have played everywhere to crowds of over 20,000 as well as many clubs across the UK and London.

James Albrecht
Head of Venues

James joined Fane Productions in November 2016 to head up the venue side of the operation. He is currently responsible for the programme at Live at Zédel with over 800 shows a year. Prior to joining Fane Productions James was Associate Artistic Director and then Creative Director at St. James Theatre, which he helped establish as one of London’s leading Off West End venues, culminating in its acquisition by Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Really Useful Theatre Group in 2016. His five years at St. James, seeing it from building site to vibrant cultural space, afforded James a wealth of experience in programming multiple art forms as diverse as theatre, musical theatre, comedy, cabaret, music and spoken word. He also produced and co-produced a number of productions.

James O'Driscoll
Head of Record Label

James has been making and working in records since 1990. Originally signed as a guitarist in a flat-cap-and-flares Jazz Funk band to Sony, he has held almost all jobs in the industry, from Radio Promotions, Head of Design (rumour has it he actually went to Art College for 5 minutes) Label Manager, Head of A&R and Artist Manager, working along the way with artists such as Tom Jones, The Eagles and half of the Brit Pop generation. He has enjoyed the pleasures of both the independent and Major label sectors and understands the merits and pitfalls of both. Now overseeing the output of Fane Phonics, the Record Label of Fane Productions, he works across all sectors of the business, from recording the very exclusive ‘Live At Zédel’ albums to creating bespoke bodies of work for Fane Productions clients, as well as overseeing their release to both physical & digital platforms.

Andy Hornby
Head of Events (Live At Zédel)

With a background in talent representation, entertainment marketing and hospitality, Andy joined Fane Productions in the Spring of 2017 to focus on the company marketing and administrative support for Live At Zédel. As of January 2018, Andy is Head of Events and in charge of the day to day show management and programming at Crazy Coqs.

Serena Brett

Having worked at the National Theatre, Chichester Festival Theatre and Finborough Theatre, Serena then spent two years in the Actors Department at Curtis Brown, working with clients such as Robert Pattinson and Dev Patel. She joined Fane Productions in 2017, and works across the business on projects as varied as one-off charity variety nights, multi-date UK tours and supporting the running of Crazy Coqs. Serena is also captain of the Curtis Brown netball team.
